Cleveland County outdoor attractions are taking extra steps to ensure the safety of their staff and customers during COVID-19. They have implemented new and creative ideas to continue to serve you! You can still get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather as long as you follow the guidance from the Stay at Home order and social distancing guidelines.
The NC DHHS regulations to follow regarding social distancing and proper health etiquette, include maintaining a 6’ distance, not shaking hands, washing hands frequently, and staying home if you feel unwell.
The City of Shelby’s Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of facilities from accessible playgrounds and amusements, a historic carrousel and miniature rotary train, Royster Golf Course as well as a number of reservation based facilities. Facilities include numerous picnic shelters at multiple parks as well as gymnasiums. Events such as birthday parties, baby and wedding showers, wedding ceremonies and receptions, family reunions, company picnics, awards banquets & interest meetings may be held there. Reservations must be made in advance.
Parks include: Shelby City Park, Hanna Park, Aquatics Center, Historic Carrousel and Miniature Train, Holly Oak Park, Tennis Courts and Royster Golf Course.
