Biographical Info

Established in 1997, the International Lineman’s Museum is located in Shelby, North Carolina, and was created to preserve the history of linemen and the electrical utility industry. What began as a small dream to collect and display a historical lineman collection has grown into an anthology of thousands of items with artifacts dating as far back as the 1880s.

The International Lineman’s Museum is a 501C3 Non-Profit Organization. Museum rent, utilities and supplies are made through private donations from companies and individuals – most museum artifacts are donated as well. The museum is free and is open to the public Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm or by appointment.
